About Us


Our History

The adventure began in the city of Montreux, Switzerland.
Hubert and Hans, both studying Hotel Management, initially shared a room on the school campus before renting a small chalet together. This marked the beginning of a long-lasting friendship they jokingly refer to as their “second marriage after their wives.”
Initially, Hubert established a commercial representation office with the aim of finding charming locations in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg for organizing seminars. Soon, he was joined by Hans.
“A’venue International” was born, driven by the desire to manage small hotels and organize international trips for groups of all sizes.
Why A’venue International? As they sought and offered unique and charming venues to their clients, the idea of using the English term “a venue” to represent their profession seemed fitting, as well as their aspiration to expand internationally.
After four years as a duo, Hans and Hubert were joined by other collaborators who helped evolve the agency over the years.

Hans Ghyssaert
Administrator
Present since the creation of A’venue International alongside his friend and former partner Hubert Culot, he assumed leadership in 2010 and became the agency’s principal administrator.
With a background in hotel management and catering in the Belgian, French, and Luxembourgish markets, and with 20 years of experience in the events industry, he will not hesitate to leverage his knowledge and network to offer you a unique event.
Attentive, available, and highly dedicated, he is always ready to foster a familial atmosphere and a climate of trust, whether with his team, clients, or service providers. Building strong relationships is of paramount importance to him !

Gaëlle Laizé
Event Director
It was during her internships while studying Applied Languages that she discovered a passion for event planning and management. In April 2011, Gaëlle joined Hans in the agency.
Always smiling, creative, attentive to her clients and service providers, she keeps a close eye on market trends and will go above and beyond to design the event of your dreams for you !

Maurine Schmitz
Project Manager
As a former intern in 2016 and a graduate in Communication and Event Management, she joined the team in June 2022 as a Project Manager.
Her previous experience in communication and customer service has equipped her with attentive listening skills and active analysis to accurately pinpoint your needs and offer a tailor-made concept that reflects your company’s image.
